Welcome Message
As the Chairman of the 3rd Asia Pacific International Conference on Food Safety, it is an honor for me, on behalf of the Taiwan Association for Food Protection (TAFP) and International Association for Food Protection (IAFP), to welcome you to Taipei, Taiwan. The conference and exhibition will take place from October 29 to November 1, 2013 at the National Taiwan University Hospital International Convention Center located in the vibrant city of Taipei, Taiwan.A highly technical and scientifically based agenda has been developed by the program committee. It will include a wide range of symposia, plenary lectures, poster communications and social networking. The four-day event is expected to provide a platform for food safety experts to bring us the latest scientific and industrial technologies concerning food safety. It is my privilege to invite you to join us to be part of this grand occasion and share your research, services and products with scholars, policy makers and practitioners from across the world with a focus on food safety management.
We are exceptionally proud and grateful to host this exciting event that shoulders the responsibility and commitment to ensure food safety as an integral part of a harmonized society. Taiwan has placed tremendous effort in recent years in legislating food safety regulations and securing resources for enforcement. Food safety is an issue of high concern in Taiwan from government and academia to everyday consumers. We are very passionate and eager to help our food industry meet the global standards and to become a preferred supplier of food to the world. We have dedicated ourselves to achieve a high standard of excellence. We are confident that this conference will be a premier food safety event, one that should not be missed in 2013.
